City of Chico

City of Chico

The City of Chico Unhoused Strategic Plan is intended to provide a practical roadmap for reducing unsheltered homelessness, improving pathways to shelter and permanent housing, and keeping Chico's public spaces clean, safe, healthy, and accessible while doing so in a lawful manner. It is designed to thoughtfully guide policy, partnerships, budgeting, contracting, and annual performance reporting after the Warren v. City of Chico settlement expires on January 14, 2027.

Community input is an essential part of this process. Before the plan is finalized, residents, businesses, service providers, and other community stakeholders are encouraged to share their perspectives, concerns and ideas.
