Also known as the Mountain View Backyard Main Replacement, this project will replace approximately 1,700 feet of deteriorated backyard sewer main currently experiencing root intrusion and maintenance issues. The selected method is pneumatic pipe bursting (Alternative 1), which reduces excavation but still requires temporary access to private backyards and lateral connections. The project will improve long-term service reliability and reduce emergency maintenance events.
